| | | | | | | NWE Interreg IIIB Mid-Term Event , 18-19 November 2004Meeting in Lille a huge success Half way the Interreg IIIB period eighty EU funded projects were brought together in the Project Village in the Grand Palace in Lille. Over 700 people registered for the event. The aim was to raise the profile of the various projects and demonstrate to decision-makers the added value of territorial co-operation through concrete examples. Transnational cooperation is about looking beyond local issues, meeting people, exchanging experiences, sharing knowledge, developing a new culture, and achieving better results together rather than alone. Through plenary sessions the attendants were informed about the funding programmes that are currently running and about the new EU funding programme that will start in 2007. Moreover there were theme workshops to discuss current challenges and to exchange experiences. Even though the TRUST booth had the number thirteen, it attracted many visitors. The time, invested in participation, was well spent. The TRUST representatives picked-up on innovative approaches and ideas that will definitely influence our future work. The TRUST programme will definitely benefit from the networking effect of the event. Click on a photo to enlarge | |
