All five projects are part of wider strategies on spatial planning and water management that aim for economic regeneration of the areas involved. The projects are pilots that will encourage trans-national knowledge transfer and help overall regional and European spatial strategies.
Theme Groups and Taskforces set up within the partnership will help deliver improved design, preparation and implementation of each project. Each of the partners should gain experience in a participative approach, with new tools in public and stakeholder participation. Evaluation and best-practice guidance will be produced.
A key theme will be communication and sharing of knowledge and expertise among the partners to solve common problems and apply innovative and sustainable solutions.
TRUST is a project that actually implements European Spatial Policy in the North West Region. It will be implemented by five reputable and experienced partners, who all share the vision on the TRUST objectives and approach. TRUST will make water based spatial planning happen.
